Harry Styles interviews Timothee Chalamet

Harry Styles: Mr Chalamet…
Timothée Chalamet: Mr Styles… it’s nice to meet you over the phone. Thank you for doing this.

Harry:
“We’re living in a time where it’s impossible not to be aware of what’s going on in the world. Society has never been so divisive. It’s important to stand up for what we think is right. I would love for my views to come through in the music I make and the things I do. That’s a very powerful way that we can use our voices. I think for a long time people thought ‘what I do doesn’t matter’ but revolution comes from small acts, and now people are realising that’s what sparks real change.”

“Thinking about where the world’s at today, do you feel a responsibility as an actor to represent a new form of masculinity on screen? The concept of masculinity has changed so much since we were growing up…I didn’t grow up in a man’s man world. I grew up with my mum and my sister. But I definitely think in the last two years, I’ve become a lot more content with who I am. I think there’s so much masculinity in being vulnerable and allowing yourself to be feminine, and I’m very comfortable with that. Growing up you don’t even know what those things mean. You have this idea of what being masculine is and as you grow up and experience more of the world, you become more comfortable with who you are. Today it’s easier to embrace masculinity in so many different things. I definitely find – through music, writing, talking with friends and being open – that some of the times when I feel most confident is when I’m allowing myself to be vulnerable. It’s something that I definitely try and do.”
“On a personal level, I feel a noticeable change in how happy I am when I’m not on social media. Someone once described it to me like a house party, where there are three people who are great and 23 people who aren’t that nice. You just wouldn’t go to that party would you? That kind of summarises my feelings about social media. I dip in. I see the friends I want to see and I dip out. [T: Was that intuitive for you?] It’s something I learnt over time. Especially starting out, because when you first start, you’re encouraged to give as much as you can. But it goes back to separating work from the rest of your life. Realising that there are things that you need to keep to yourself and things that you don’t have to share with anyone. It keeps everything a little nicer.”
Harry & Rob Sheffield

My song would be Madame George by Van Morrison. My movie would be Goodfellas . My book would be… I have two. It would either be Haruki Murakami Norwegian Wood or Rob Sheffield’s Love Is A Mixtape. Which I would suggest you read if you haven’t read it already. It’s really beautiful. [And who’s your person?] My person… I’m going to do the same as you, I’m going to withhold.”
“I’m making my second album right now, so I’m going to do that, read a lot and see what happens. When I got the role in Dunkirk, it happened right at the start of my first album, so I had to stop everything for five months. But stuff like that always happens when it happens, so I dunno, man. I’m enjoying not knowing to be honest.”

Liam on One Direction:

Me personally as me, I would love to get back together at some point. I think when it is all comfortable for everyone else. Rushing these things is how things get messed up.
We made such great success and that comes at a cost and I think we need to take that into account. I think we will all benefit by getting to know ourselves a bit better rather than ourselves within the band and I have always said this.

Overs contestant Giovanni Spano revealed that the former One Direction star is constantly at the finalists’ house - and even chips in with advice for other categories
Speaking to The Sun Online about
Louis, 33-year-old Giovanni said: “I think he is outstanding, I think he is absolutely wonderful.
“The way he looks after the boys; he is there from 9am until 10 at night - last night I think he left at 11pm or something like that.
“He has been great for the lads, absolutely phenomenal.”
It is the 26-year-old singer’s first year as an X Factor judge, and he has already won praise for the positive and supportive way that he has handled his male acts’ tears and emotions on the show.
Earlier this week, comedian Felicity Ward tweeted: “An out of the blue earnest tweet: Many of @Louis_Tomlinson ’s male singers throughout @TheXFactor have cried, and not once has he told them not to, to hold it in, or try to make it better.
"He’s just hugged them & let them be. May we all be like Louis to the men in our lives.”

GOGGLEBOX

The Bafta award winning Gogglebox returns once again with a celebrity special for the fifth time. One Direction’s Liam Payne will be sharing the Gogglebox sofa with his friend and fellow bandmate Louis Tomlinson as part of Channel 4 and Cancer Research’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign on Friday 26th October.
This very special edition of the TV review programme will see the famous faces as they gawp and gossip at the week’s TV. Between their own cutting remarks, tears and laughter will be the views of Britain’s favourite opinionated viewers; the genuine Gogglebox households including Giles and Mary, best friends Jenny and Lee and the Siddiquis

Louis Tomlinson said, “At a time when this awful disease affects more of us than ever before, we have to pull together to make a difference. I’m delighted to join Liam as Stand Up To Cancer Goggleboxers this year, and hope we can help raise as much money and awareness as possible for the campaign.”
Liam Payne added, “Louis and I are honoured to be a part of this year’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign. We hope we can help raise much needed funds for such an incredible cause.”

Halloween 2018

Harry Styles perfectly channeled Elton John at the Casamigos Halloween party in Beverly Hills, California, on Friday night. The singer sported a sparkly, bedazzled Los Angeles Dodgers uniform that was nearly identical to the iconic ensemble Elton John was wearing for his shows at Dodger Stadium in 1975.

Sir Elton John posted the photos of Harry with a comment.

End of Niall's tour

Thankful for all you guys coming out and watching the shows, getting involved, spendin’ your well earned money as I say all the time to come and watch us, so I know it’s not easy to get to gigs these days and I really appreciate it. I love you very much for that. We’ve played every corner of the globe in the last 18 months or so and no show’s been boring and every show’s been different and you guys made it extra special. It’s a really fun time, and we’re all going to miss it big time. We’re all heading home back to London for a day or so, and over to Paris for me. Reality hits and everyone’s just kind of like ‘What do we do now?’ It will kick in next week that we’re not on tour anymore. This gives me the time now to sit on my ass and have a good think, and put my musical ideas into action. Write a few tunes over a month or so and then get in with some friends and write some songs. I need ya to be patient. I don’t know how quick the big songs are going to come. If they do come or not. Ya gotta be patient with me - give me time. And when I’m ready, you guys will be the first to know where I’m at and we’ll have a new tune for ya. So with that being said, thanks for everything. It’s been an absolutely fantastic year. I’ll keep in touch with ya, but now that the tour’s finishin’, its an end of an era, end of the Flicker era if you like. We’ve had a great time and I can’t wait to go and make another record for ya. And we’ll do it all again.

Harry's new Gucci campaign

Harry is back with a second instalment of the campaign which dropped in June. Gucci has released its Gucci Cruise 2019 men's tailoring campaign starring the 24-year-old and there's more animals, more statement outfits and, definitely, more cuteness.
"For Cruise 2019, the young Englishman relocates, now with more pets – a lamb, goat and piglet – to the Mannerist, Renaissance gardens of the 16th-century Italian villa," explained Gucci in a statement as it revealed the images shot by Glen Luchford.
The adorable series of snaps see Harry reunited with his animal friends, the designer garms being somewhat overshadowed by Styles feeding three little pigs and being kissed by a baby goat.
In one snap he's even seen casually posing with a lamb over his shoulders donning a checked suit and a gold leaf headband.

The full campaign will be released in November.  (Evening Standard)
