Niall also stayed for a chat on the sofa where he revealed that the 1D hiatus isn't expected to last forever and that a reunion could be sooner than we all think.
"For now we are doing our own thing," he told Graham. "We can't put a date on it but it won't be in 50 years. It's in the foreseeable future.
"We've talked about it, but for now we'll just play it by ear and see what happens."
Also chatting about the double meaning of the new song, Niall explained that it really isn't about a secret love interest at all.
"It's not really about anyone in particular. When I'm writing songs, I write the concepts and then just write the scenario and then write the song around it," he says. "I guess with the 'town' part of it, there's a line in the song, 'Everything comes back to you,' and I still go home all the time, and no matter how far you traveled you still get to go home and be yourself.
"And then it's obviously got that female aspect, too ... I got loads of texts from people from school saying, 'Everyone wants to know who it's about.' It's not about anyone. So, I cleared that up on national television."
Amy Adams and One Direction had met before on Saturday Night Live in 2014.

Second World War boat to be restored thanks to Harry Styles

The Skylark, a WW2 boat which rescued hundreds of men in the Dunkirk evacuation, will be restored to its former glory thanks to One Direction's Harry Styles.
When fans discovered the story of the Skylark, they started to raise funds for its restoration. They have raised Ł6,000 so far.
David Mann, director of the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine, says: "I'm for anything that brings attention to the service the little Dunkirk ship did during the evacuation. By Mr Styles being involved, we can bring her history to a new generation and straddle old with new".

Harry's photo shoot for "Another Man"

One of the photos  was taken on the shore at Botany Bay, Kent by Ryan McGinley.

Alister Mackie, creative director of Another Man magazine:
“There’s something indie about those pictures: otherworldly and contemplative. That day felt really spiritual because Ryan is so quiet and charming, and they really connected. Harry cried because he has really bad hay fever – and, while I was freaking out that his face would swell up, Ryan just kept it going. It ended up being so beautiful to see him crying like that – and when you work with someone as spontaneous as Ryan, that’s when those magical moments happen.”
In the photo, Harry is wearing an outfit designed by Gosha Rubchinskiy, a Russian designer, photographer and film maker.
