“I like [the EP]
being a little storybook. It’s four tracks, it’s not quite an album. There was
a lot of songs on the album that I love but – everything was all a bit happy,
in that vein, and sometime [life’s] not. I think it’s important that people
know one, how I’m feeling a little bit and two, kinda what happens with me […]
for me, in my relationships so far that I’ve been through kinda have this
little cycle where, of what this EP represents. I can’t give away too much but
this is how relationships have gone for me so far. I feel like there might be a
lot of people in the world that feel the same. This one’s for that crowd of singletons, let’s say”. (Ash London Live)
“This is, I would
say, the closest thing to ‘me’ that I’ve done so far. I think it’s very hard
sometimes to be honest with the way the industry is sometimes. There is a part
of me that’s definitely is what Strip That Down is, but it doesn’t necessarily
represent me and maybe that’s not something I really wanna be represented by.
Fantastic song, and I think it’s more of a jovial thing, it’s not to be taken
too seriously. I’m not genuinely like, ‘look at me in the club’, to be honest
with you I’m barely in the bloody club. I’m up early in the morning, in the gym
and doing yoga.” (Ash London Live)
“I think Slow is
actually one my favorites in this as well because I feel like it’s the most
closest thing to a One Direction-y type, boyband-y chorus but it’s a spin of a
dance song as well so it’s kinda inspired from somewhere else.” (Ash London Live)
