Before Christmas

Liam has already decorated his home and shared a photo of himself watching TV.

Niall has caught a cold and realised his mum was right.

Niall also tweeted the following:

Louis and Steve Aoki must be really happy as their song "Just Hold On" debuted at number 1 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales Chart from Billboard.

Harry was spotted in a Saint Laurent shearling fur coat on Tuesday. He has come under fire from some fans for wearing real fur and not faux fur. Given Harry has previously spoken out against SeaWorld, some fans called his new jacket a bit of a hypocritical move.

Some magazines notice Harry's dishevelled appearance attributing it to his best friend's mum's death.

"Dunkirk" trailer

The first full-length trailer for "Dunkirk" dropped this afternoon. It shows Christopher Nolan's all-star cast in action for the first time. Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy star in the World War II epic, while Harry Styles debuts his acting skills.

One dramatic scene sees Harry flailing around under the water after his boat capsizes in the sea.

Rylance recently compared Harry to Sean Penn. Asked if he had given the singer any advice, he said: "No, he doesn't need tips. He is shaping up."
The film tells the story of WW II, where a large number of allied soldiers were cut off and surrounded by the German army, and rescue mission Operation Dynamo - otherwise known as the Dunkirk Evacuation - occured between May 26 and June 4 to save them.

Louis' mum thanks fans

Dan Deakin, Louis' mum's husband has just tweeted from her account:

Niall Horan on supporting Louis

On Saturday night, all of our hearts melted when it was confirmed that Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan had dropped everything so that they could be at Wembley Arena to support their One Direction bandmate, Louis Tomlinson, as he made his solo debut just three days after his mother tragically passed away.
The three men were keen to keep out of the spotlight as they remained backstage for the duration of the show, supporting Louis privately in a bid to not detract attention from his new solo single, ‘Just Hold On’.
Now Niall has opened up about his decision to fly from New York to London in order to be there for his pal ahead of his appearance at last night’s iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball in Washington D.C.
On the red carpet, a confused reporter asked Niall: “Weren’t you in the UK like an hour ago?”
To which the Irish star replied: “Yeah, I flew home for… I was in the UK for twenty hours.

"For a very good reason.”                                                                    Stephanie Soteriou

Louis and Jay were very close to each other.

The fans are encouraged to buy the track on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play, to stream it on Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, YouTube, and request it on radio stations.
And it seems that the fandom is really powerful!

Louis on The XFactor Finale

Louis Tomlinson performed his debut solo single "Just Hold On" on The XFactor Finale in London. The song is a tribute to his mum Johannah, who passed away last Wednesday. On stage Louis was accompanied by Steve Aoki, co-author of the track.

While the performance must have been extremely difficult for heartbroken Louis, he managed to prove how strong he is.

All the other members of One Direction and their families arrived at the Wembley Arena to support Louis. Niall flew straight from New York and Liam from Los Angeles. Niall cancelled interviews and promo to be there. Steve Aoki was supposed to accept an award tonight in the US, but he decided to be with Louis. Rumour has it that Zayn was also there.

Louis' Mum Dies

It has been announced today that Johannah Deakin, Louis Tomlinson's beloved mother, died of leukaemia on 7th December.

Her husband has released the following statement:
“It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016.
Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia that required immediate and continuous treatment. We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private.
Johannah was first and foremost a truly amazing mother to seven children – Louis (24), Lottie (18), Félicité (16), and two sets of twins, Phoebe and Daisy (12) and Ernest and Doris (2) – whose individual talents and success are testament to the principles and beliefs she instilled in them. She was also an incredibly proud grandmother to Freddie.
Incredibly selfless, she would always look to put other people before herself. She desired nothing more than for everyone around her to be happy and loving. She worked tirelessly on numerous charity campaigns, creating memories for many individuals and their families. It wasn’t uncommon for Johannah to hear through the media of an individual in need of assistance, and she would immediately make it her objective to get that person what they often desperately needed, and rarely without success. These are the things that made Johannah happy and content in life, and all of which for me made her simply the perfect wife and best friend to face each day with. I thoroughly loved walking through life with her, and though five years was far too short a time, during that time we had so many lifetimes worth of happiness, adventures, and memories.

We would like to send our sincere thanks to Professor Steve Mackinnon and his team at University College London Hospital where Johannah was hospitalised since May. And during the last few weeks Professor John Snowden and his colleagues at Royal Hallamshire Hospital Sheffield.”
On 18th November, Louis posted a photo on Instagram:
"My mother looking gorgeous before the Brits earlier this year. I love you & miss you so much!"

Zayn Malik tweeted:
@Louis_Tomlinson love you bro! All of your family is in my prayers. Proud of your strength and know your mum is too x

Liam wrote:
Louis, I’m so sorry for you my brother my heart aches for you, just know I love you the same from a million miles away as I do right next to you. I ‘m always here for you through everything as you have been for me. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this incredibly sad time. I can’t begin to imagine what you are all going through. Rip Johannah you are forever in my thoughts.

And Niall: Very sad news. Louis I love you mate and I'm / all of us are here for you all the way. You're (sic!) mum was an incredible person.
Thinking of you and your family. love from my family to yours...

There are messages from charities that Jay and Louis supported together.
Believe in Magic: thank you for everything you did for Believe in Magic, you touched so many lives with your kind heart and big smile
Eden Dora Trust: Our thoughts, prayers and our love are with Dan, Louis, Lottie, Felicite, Phoebe, Daisy, Ernest and Doris & all family & friends
Trekstock: All of the team wanted to share that our thoughts are with Louis & all his family at this incredibly sad time

One Direction fans are raising money for various charities connected with the Tomlinsons.
They are raising money for Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research) that funds research and provides support to improve blood cancer patients' lives.
They are registering as stem cell donors. They are donating their hair.

Niall and Ruby

Niall Horan has posted a photo on Instagram. It shows him with Ben Winston's newborn daughter.

"Got to meet little Ruby Winston today... beautiful little girl. So happy for Ben and Meri. Love you."
Niall has killed two birds with one stone.
Firstly, contrary to what some tabloids claimed, he was not shopping for Cheryl's baby yesterday.
Secondly, now we know that he visits when his close friends become parents.
A lot of fans keep asking: "Why didn't he visit Freddie?" or "Why didn't he post a picture of Freddie?"

Harry in London

Harry Styles is back in the UK. He probably celebrated his sister's 25th birthday.                               On 7th December he was seen shopping at Selfridges in Oxford Street.

Read about Selfridges here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selfridges

A few days earlier, Harry was papped in Los Angeles wearing a Randy's Donuts sweatshirt. He seems to like that particular outfit a lot as he has been seen in it a number of times.

But why would Harry Styles have a sweatshirt from a random donut shop in Inglewood, California?

Some eagle-eyed fans have noticed that right next to Randy's Donuts there is another restaurant.

Must be a mere coincidence. But, if you like conspiracy theories, check the name of Randy's Donuts' owner. :)

On Air With Ryan Seacrest - Niall's interview

“We’re all just kind of doing our own bits and pieces now, we’re all enjoying it, we’re all in touch, but I think people have this public perception that we all hate each other and One Direction is never going to happen ever again. I think people are making that up. We’ve never given any hint … I think the media started to turn all of these words and make it seem like we all hate each other and One Direction will never happen again, which is complete bulls**t. It definitely will. We’re just enjoying our time.”

Ryan Seacrest  & Niall
"Some of us will have music to bring to the table .... but we also have an album that we never toured. We brought an album out at the end of last year, so I guess that would be the first thing, to tour that."

What's new?

Dozens of articles have appeared recently, stating that One Direction might not be over yet. The good message is being spread by Niall Horan, who has to answer questions concerning the band's future wherever he performs his solo song.

Niall & Shawn Mendes at the AMAs
"Niall says that One Direction will be back, confirming rumours that the band's extended break will not be permanent". The quote has been repeated so many times that it must have been syndicated.

Niall has been working on his solo album and seems to be satisfied with the result. He tweeted:
"Good studio times today, pretty cool watching all of it come together slowly.                                                             Promo tomorrow, should be fun"
Niall is performing in San Jose (1st December), Los Angeles (2nd December) and New York (9th December).

Louis Tomlinson was clubbing with his pals and some musicians in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

He didn't celebrate Thanksgiving in the US. Quite unexpectedly, he appeared in the UK.

After avoiding publicity stunts for weeks, Harry Styles was papped in Los Angeles on                   25th November. He was wearing a snazzy yellow shirt with nautical motifs, most of which he shares with Louis as tattoos.

Robbie Williams for Radio Times Magazine recently:

“Last year I tried to work with Bruno Mars - didn’t hear anything back. Tried to work with (Swedish hit maker) Max Martin - didn’t hear anything back. They literally didn’t return my calls. Then I met Harry Styles in an airport. ‘Oh, you’re writing, Harry? Great, who with?’ He goes: ‘Well, I just spent a week with Bruno Mars, and I’m about to spend a week with Max Martin.’ I think Harry Styles has beguiled the whole world just by being Harry Styles. He’s got a David Beckham-style quality. So he’s won in that regard. There’s a space for him but the music has to be great”.
Liam Payne had been working on his solo music in Los Angeles, but he came back to London a few days ago. On 28th November, he attended the world premiere of "I Am Bolt" at the Odeon cinema in Leicester Square.

On 29th November, Liam was papped with Cheryl as he accompanied her at the charity concert. Although Cheryl is visibly pregnant, they still haven't confirmed whether they are expecting their first baby.

American Music Awards

Yesterday, at the 2016 American Music Awards, Niall sang "This Town". On the red carpet he said that all the members of One Direction are big on the email chat and they talk to each other all the time.
He revealed that he was looking forward to seeing Zayn after so many months of silence. He said:"I haven' t spoken to him for a few months or whatever, so I'm looking forward to seeing him, yeah."

Some fans had visions of Niall and Zayn embracing on stage, wiping the tears off each other faces, and proclaiming everlasting love. Sadly, it didn' t happen in real life. As Niall happened to wander past Zayn's seat, he was the one to reach out and shake Zayn's hand for approximately 0.1 seconds. Awkward.

Niall on Twitter: "Amazing night at the @AMAs. Thank you for having me as per usual. Appreciate it. Now let's have a drink"

Zayn Malik won New Artist of the Year.

Here is his acceptance speech:

Some fans have noticed how different his speech was from what Liam said at 2015 Billboard Music Awards.

In the meantime, Louis has been clubbing in L.A. and Vegas with his pals and Steve Aoki, American DJ and producer.
